I'm pretty new to break dancing and to be honest I've never been into the kind of music that they usually play, but it has really grown on me recently. Can anyone suggest some good artists or albums for b-boy music that I can look into?

I'm having exactly the same problem dude!! I think what's best is to start off with typing Breakdance into Amazon or Ebay cos they may have something relevant to sell in there!!
I just type it into the Album field on Limewire, but I've not been too impressed!!
Let me know if you find any good stuff!

bboys typically dance to 3 types of music those are hip hop (like you see in the media), techno (somtimes), and this type called breakbeats (which is a mix of jazz funk and soul). for hip hop theres songs like
Pump It Up - joe buddens
Take It to the Floor - B2K
Ante Up - (im not sure who the artist is)
then for techno i dont really know any titles just search in limewire for techno songs and see if you feel the music.
then for breakbeats im not really into them all that much but a couple i know of are:
1976 - RJD2
Funky Breakbeats - DJ shadow vs. cut chemist
hope it helps. peace.
