Hey everyone!
I have only been breakdancing for around 1 year. I was just wondering how long you guys have been doing it?
Thanks.
On and off for about a year. Need to work more on building muscle, I think.
I think building on technique and being fit is more valuable than building muscle.

Eay Bboyers
I'm not breakdancing for long, but i'n have learned one thing..
If you want to be a good bboyer with powermoves,
than you must have a really hi muscle,,
If you don't have something like that you must train hard in speed moves,,
That is not easy, but you can get much points with that.
Laterzzzz
M_ike, Goodluck with training,, and train good for muscle ;)
bye..

it gets easier the more flexible you become
so my only advice is stretch 5-6 times a week
flexability increases strength and is important for balance to
warm up, stretch, workout, then stretch again

I just started. I've always wanted to but have suffered from having no rythm. I just found this free video series (http://www.expertvillage.com/interviews/breakdancing-moves.htm) that breaks down the movies really simple that even I can do moves.

Hey y'all,
I've only been breaking for about a week n i've been working on building strength n edurance for holds. I hav got into practicing up rocking and the six step, but after i've been up rocking for about 5 seconds it seems it's just the same thing over n over. Need to thro some originality in there i think.
@jerseyguy: some good clips there. like his style of up rocking bit hard to learn all those variations he thros in 'coz he don't explain 'em. You got any more sites where it shows you 'em better. I shud be starting training next week neway.

hey im totally new to breakdancing but realllllly want to learn. i definitly am in shape for it, im 5'11, 99% muscle, very athletic, and flexible, but online videos and instructions just dont seem to work. I live about 20 miles outside of NY and maybe some of you know some academies etc... or anything to steer me in the right direction, thanks

I was a break dancer for a few years ago, then i quit, now i have started again. Im also a gymnast. And have been Norwegian champion in my age class several times. Before i trained gymnastics up to 20 hours a week, and i got very buff, now i train less, but even harder.
Because i train gymnastics i have established muscles on my body, who makes it easier to do powermoves and stuff. I usually practise break dance after trainings with my break dance crew.
I also do a lot of flips and stuff. Some combos, footwork, powermoves and mixed with my gymnastics skills;)
BBoy and gymnastics for life<3<3<3<3

Me I just started 2years ago and in march it'll be 3years but I need a spot to practice if Im gonna get better
about those things with quitting coz' no muscless, well that's nonsance! you don't need muscles for sixstep for example and the footwork isn't hard eather an those too can make very good dance. ofc you need muscles but don't think you can't leran anything if you're weak. do 50 push - ups a day and u'll be fit enough ;).
